A lot of electronics are assembled in China for pennies per unit.  Speaking
of China, a friend of mine visited there a few months ago.  He traveled to a
number of large cities in China and some smaller towns.  In the big cities,
he said he has never seen that many cell phones in use any place in the
United States.  Literally, everybody he saw in China was using a cell phone.
He saw a woman about 80 years old, he thought she appeared to be, riding a
bicycle, still lots of those around he said, and carrying a cell phone.  He
thought we were cell phone crazy here but he said you just could not believe
all the cell phones in use while he was there.  He was working for an outfit
based out of Hong Kong and they gave him a cell phone to use to call them
back if he needed directions, couldn't find his contact, or any help as he
traveled.  What was he doing there, you might ask?  Smuggling, no, no, no,
not drugs, Bibles into china.  He got caught once during the two weeks he
was there but the border guards just take the Bibles from you, give you a
receipt, and when you come back over the border, you can pick the Bibles up
they took.  right there at the border crossing, is a huge church on the
China side.  If your Bibles are taken, you simply walk to the church, and
they give you a hold new load, about 40 pounds, of Bibles in suit cases and
on your way you go again.  So it doesn't appear that China is too worried
about being westernized even by Christians.  They sure love cell phones,
though.
