    John:

Well, I guess I should qualify things.

We actually hadn't had a crash for a while, until we attempted to install a
new print printer for the home computer. For some reason, it messed
everything up to the point that we had to do a "partial system recovery",
which made life quite interesting for a while. Had to re-configure Jaws,
the Kurzweil 100, and the Duxbury Braille translation software, as well as
Microsoft Word, etc.

This is what motivated us to get the hard drive, and now to look into the
back-up software.

It's probably something that anyone like us, who use computers both
personally and professionally, should do, because you never know what might
happen. Of course, it always happens at exactly the wrong time too.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts, John. Will keep you posted.
