I forget the number, but doesn't Kenwood make an ht that programs like the 
f6, but is only 2 meters and 440?  Around $225 as I recall.  Let me give a 
e s a call.
I just called a e s.  Kenwood doesn't make that one any more.  He didn't 
know the number, but you might luck out and find something.  It had the 
basic processor as the f6 abnd programmed similar.
