Like David, I also use dos based logging software to access the frequency
read-out on my MP. Additionally I can enter a frequency via the pc
keyboard, and qsy the rig from a cluster spot etc.

Although it would be nice to have access to the transceiver's menu, in
reality I have found for the most part once my desired options have been
set, I've not been required to change anything all that often.

For me personally, the mp's superb receiver and general lay-out more than
make up for the lack of a speech option. In fact it's been one of my best
radio purchases ever!!

Btw, David, having still been unsuccessful in making any headway with
Turbolog, I've found a program called winlog32 which on a brief initial look
might seem promising, at least with window-eyes. The program is freeware,
and the author (g0cuz) lives here in the UK.

Cheers,

Tim, GI4OPH.
