To the Lister with question about coax and the rv.
At the frequencies you are using the 8x will work fine. I do recall
your mention of a foam conductor conductor and my only concern is that
the bends in this type of coax not be sharp ones as the foam does not
provide stable (mechanically) insulation and dielectric separation as
other inner insulations provide. I have seen cases when the center
conductor compresses the dielectric to a point that it nearly touches
the braid in the coax and could cause problems at higher powers. On the
other hand this was older military coax (though new packages.)
If your bends are gradual and do not put too much strain on the
mechanical nature of the coax it will work fine. Good luck.
