Book is pricey and not yet in print...
A doctor friend of mine suggested checking out this one...
UV Advantage by Michael Holick is also available for ~$8. Available at
Amazon.com if not available in your local stores..
Holick has an article online at....
Vitamin D: importance in the prevention of cancers, type 1 diabetes, heart
disease, and osteoporosis1,2,3,4,5

Among other things--"Vitamin D deficiency is often misdiagnosed as
fibromyalgia."
Another researcher looking at Vitamin D is Dr. Neil Binkley, U/Wisconsin. (He
is also looking at the role of Vitamin K in bone health.) Find more by doing
a www.yahoo.com for "binkley and vitamin D" This article is one of several
you can find by searching www.wisc.edu

One of the studies Binkley is working on Vitamin D & balance.
http://www.med.wisc.edu/news/item.php?id=1520 "Participants will also undergo a formal gait
assessment at UW Health’s Rehabilitation Clinic. In particular, researchers
will be measuring speed of gait and the amount of time an individual stands in
what’s called “double-stance” gait--both feet on the ground."
Interestingly, Samuel Gee (1888) noted that celiacs that recovered (as
opposed to died, I presume) were left with a peculiar gait that never resolved.
Researchers in England have found that in those suffering from varying degrees of
gluten ataxia, gait ataxia is universal affecting 100%.
Gluten ataxia in perspective: epidemiology, genetic susceptibility and
clinical characteristics.

Since Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, it would make sense if fats weren't
being absorbed, especially at northern latitudes and when skies were darkened
by pollution from burning coal...
