I have mentioned Deborah before but I wanted to renew my prayer request for
her.  She is 52 years old and I have been praying with her twice a week in
my office for probably nearly a year.  She has lived her entire life under
depression but she has been freed from the majority of that now.  The
problem now, is not so much her own person woundedness but her marriage.
She and her husband are Christians, met in Bible college, and married after
getting out of college.  They both love the Lord but their marriage,
frankly, never developed into a close relationship.  Deb, of course, now
more than ever, wants her marriage of 25 years to work but her husband has
some deep woundedness which he won't face.  Pray for him, too, and his name
is Alan.  He is a very nice guy, highly intelligent, and I have prayed with
him twice, but fear, and probably guilt, and only the Holy Spirit knows what
else, is keeping him from allowing the Lord to set him free.  So if you
would pray for Deb and Alan, I would appreciate it.  Deb sat and cried again
today for two hours as the emotional and spiritual imbalance of her marriage
tried to crush the life out of her.  I have felt Alan's spirit, sort of
speak, when I prayed with him many months ago.  He has a heart for God and
the Lord wants to use him, of course, but he is blinded by the God of this
world.
