We could help you. I know aluminum windows are "governed" by AMAA but off
the top of my head (not in the office) can't recall what wood windows are. I
notice "Tischler" in the subject. Do they indicate any reference standards
in their literature? Would they do the testing if "their" windows are
leaking? We have performed "chamber tests" and "hose" tests both according
to ASTM standards. Typically you need someone to develope a spec and comment
on the testing results and have a testing company or contractor perform the
actual tests. Le'me know if we can help.

I am working on a project on the Connecticut shoreline and we have water
problems with the window walls. Does anyone know a standard to follow for
testing groups of windows and sliding doors (not just individual units) or
can recommend someone who could do the testing?

Best,

Leland

Subject: [BP] Is there a technical term for ...

...those half- or three-quarter- engaged bollards frequently used on either
side of a vehicular doorway? These are part of the stonework, not
freestanding. One at 75 East 77th Street, a crisp little 1898 stable, was
sliced in half to allow perhaps 8" more clearance for what is now a private
residence.
