By my information some Sony drives are made by Lite-On.
Can't confirm because don't have access to any Sony drives.
I use NEC ND3540A. Good but avoid buffer underrun. I run
out hard disk space and when I copied about 2GB video to
DVD it was somewhat choppy in another computer. But I think
it could be problem with any drive.
