Having seen no replies to your question, here goes;
Assuming by uninstalling, you don't mean deleted, some remnants of the programs were left behind.
msconfig does not remove anything, it only prevents unchecked items from being loaded.
You can download a free application named "Start Cop" (do a Google search for it) then disable unwanted apps until you see that no harm is done, then you can remove them completely.
