Hi Anthony,

I think that the biggest problem with the MC60A is that a grounding problem
exists with that Mic. I got my best results only when I ran a ground wire
from the case of the mic down the center of the coil cord to the case on the
rig. The 480 has a maximum bandwidth of 2.4KHZ and I think that's why some
people think that the 480 audio is a little thin.

Subject: PINS ARE REVERSED ON THE TS-480!!!

Hi Everyone;

I searched on the internet and found the pins three and five are reversed on
the TS480 on the mic connector.

I'm going to get an MC60A next month along with an MJ88 and get a jumper and
reverse the pins and that should clear up the RF problem.

The audio is driving me nuts on this radio because I am not able to shape it
the way the KENWOOD audio should sound.

I just thought I would let everyone know.
