Hi Dave,

As I said before, I always have to look up   the exact steps for setting the
tones.  I don't do it often enough to remember it.

You open the menus, turn on the tones, select whether the tone is on just
for transmit or for receive and transmit or just receive, then you find the
appropriate tone by counting the clicks on the tuning control on the top of
the handheld.

In other words, yes, the tones are accessable.
