Hi all,

Well, I broke down and purchased the tm-g707a and it arrived today. I got it from HRO and they installed the vs3 voice chip for me.

I don't have sighted assistance here, so I would really appreciate it if someone could give me specific instructions as to how to set the dimmer control to give
speech instead.

I understand that counting the clicks from menu 1 may or may not get me to menu 17 depending on band or whatever, but I can probably figure that one out
with some trial and error.

The real question is that once you locate the proper menu selection, which buttons do you then press to enter the menu, locate a choice in that menu, and
finally save that setting.

I got the "cheatsheet" and also the abbriged manual from icanworkthisthing, but there isn't anything in there regarding setting up the radio for speech except
to suggest you use sighted help. That's just not too informative.

I know blind people have set this thing up, so it's obviously not impossible, and I'd certainly appreciate detailed instructions from someone who's done it.

Thanks much,

Don W6SMB
