THE jlb WAS NOT PORTABLE BUT WIRKED VERY WELL IN MOBILE AND BASE
OPERATIONS.  i NEVER HAD ONE BUT DID LUST AFTER ONE.

I don't remember the Tempo.  I do remember the big JLB synthesizer that

interfaced to my TR-22, but, unlike American Express, you couldn't take
it 
with you.

But, I do remember the little JLB that my friend built and interfaced
to his 
standard HT sometime in 1976 or 1977.  It was about the size of a pack
of 
cigarettes.  And, the first synthesized HT I had was circa 1979 the 
venerable Kenwood TR-2400.
