I had a 2016. It didn't have speech, but you didn't really need it with the 
fixed stops at each end of the two dials.

What a radical consept, a radio with four (yes, count them,) 4 memories and 
scanning between each of them!

I used that rig until it fell apart, had it rebuilt at least two times, and 
finally swaped it off. It was also my sirst packet rig when I was on that 
mode.
