Oh, I know what you're talking about! I used to have Cingular. Instead of
having your phone book on the phone, you call *8 and your phone book is in
an electronic system so you can do it on any Cingular phone. The service is
called "voice connect."

If you fill out a form regarding your blindness and your doctor verifies it,
you don't have to pay the monthly charge for the service.

: That's great but you haven't told us what phone you have and if that

: I know this is a little off topic but cell phones are nothing more than =
: fancy transceivers. When I got my new cell phone I ignored all of the =
: whistles bells and lights because I can't see the display to use all of =
: the menus. What a surprise to find that I will only need to be able to =
: find the star key, 8, and the send button ever again. I can add new =
: names and numbers or delete them from the phone book and call people =
: using only voice commands. I even enter the phone numbers into the =
: phone book using voice. This is the most blind friendly feature I have =
: ever seen. Just great for those of us who have problems with big =
: fingers and tiny buttons. I am with Singular and the feature it $5 a =
: month. =20
