You know, Danny,

At one time, I had a little locator that you attched to a basketball hoop
with velcro. It had a 9-V battery and you could activate it with a remote
control so you could line up with the basket without it beeping constantly.

Problem is I don't remember where I got it. It came with a basketball with
bells in it; could have been Independent Living Aids. I don't know what the
range is, but it might be a possibility.
