I'd have to find a cable tv chart, but I'd guess you're getting into a 
cable channel that they have on the 2 meter band.  This is actually a 
cable problem, their system isn't as tight as it should be.  As far as 
cordless phones, possibly.  As far as amps, I doubt it.  All it would do 
is hunm, but it wouldn't detect and let them hear an fm modulated career.
