Subject: changing rigs

After much research, contemplation, and medical bills I will keep the
kenwood. However, there is a bandpass filter mod on www.mods.dk which
replaces a large number of diodes in the front end with low noise schotkes.
I have a local friend who had this done, and verified the claims for much
reduced receiver noise.
I'm going to get this done, and will report back to the group on the
results.
