UDP LEADER DARBOE ON A USA VISIT!!!
BY JUSTICE SAM
Leader of the Main Opposition United Democratic Party UDP’S Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, is expected to arrive in the United States this Week. Darboe’s visit followed his break away with NADD. The popular politician is said to have a lot of supporters in New York and other cities across this country.
UDP'S DARBOE TO VISIT US
Sources close to the UDP Bureau say their leader will meet with Party Militants while in the US and will host series of meetings with them. The Party they said, is more stronger today ever before and is determined to effect political change in the West African country.
Ousainou Darboe, a well acclaimed human rights lawyer formed an alliance with the opposition National Reconciliation Party, following a division in NADD. He says due to lack of trust amongst its leadership, he decided to call it a day with the coalition. Despite his resignation Darboe says, he was still prepared to form an alliance with any meaningful Gambians committed to the democratic process.
Observers say, there is a possibility that the opposition might regroup again considering what they called the disintegrated APRC party, which is recalling the old guards to help them steer the affairs of their divided party.
