Kathy,
I pray that things get sorted out. If Chris is in the right, I pray that be
shown and that the guilty are dealt with. If he's in the wrong, I pray
wisdom for you and the authorities in dealing with that as well.

>Hi Guys,
> Well, after giving a pretty good report of how things went Friday, it
>would seem that, possibily, the roller coaster is going again. Last night,
>we were awakened in the middle of the night by a phone call from the girl
>friend of Chris's roommate. Her name is Sam. She was really upset.
>Evidently, Chris packed up and moved out yesterday and moved to a friend's
>house and in the process of moving, took her computer. Then, she said that
>she got the computer back, but the hard drive was missing. Then she called
>back to say that Chris had come back in the middle of the night and punched
>her boy friend in the face. We don't know what to think. We have no way
>of getting hold of Chris. We have no clue how this girl got our phone
>number. We don't know who is telling the truth. Chris had told us on
>Friday that she was calling around, spreading a lot of lies about him
>stealing, but she claimed last night that she wasn't the one who was doing
>it and that the actual culprit is the guy that Chris moved in with. I have
>a feeling that everybody is lying and we hadn't planned on getting into the
>middle of any of this, but, here we are. This girl, Sam, claims to have
>gotten the police involved and if Chris is guilty of assault and battery,
>as an adult, he may have just kissed is plans for the military goodbye.
>She also let us know that Chris was indeed fired from his job on Saturday,
>but if that is because of the lies she told, or the truth that Chris really
>was stealing, we just don't know.
> I don't know what to think. The phone call was jarring, to be awakened
>from a deep sleep, to say the least. We got up and locked our doors and
>just prayed. I just pray that, somehow, the truth will get sifted out of
>all the mess and that the right people are punished. If that's Chris,
>then, I'm sorry, but we won't rescue him from his own foolishness. That's
>a hard thing to say as a parent, but in Proverbs it says, "Discipline your
>son, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death. A
>hot tempered man must pay the penalty; if you rescue him, you will have to
>do it again." Proverbs 19:18-19 The best thing that Chris could do is
>turn to Jesus.
