There is one verse in the Bible that troubles me concerning our
beloved pets, and I think Karen mentioned it briefly.
Would someone please discuss Ecclesiastes 3:21?
"Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit
of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?"
It is clearly stated in Isaiah 11:6-8 that domestic and wild
animals will associate together, and children will play with
poisonous snakes; but that seems to be referring to the
millennial or thousand year reign of Christ. Nevertheless, if that
verse in Ecclesiastes is saying that our beloved pets won't be
resurrected, I think there's a good chance of being an
abundance of animals of all kinds in heaven for us to play with
and enjoy. I want to ride down the street on a tiger, with a big boa constrictor around my neck, shouting, "Praise the Lord!"
