When through fiery trials your pathway shall guide
My grace all sufficient shall be thy supply.
The flames shall not hurt thee, My only design,
thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine.
Okay, first off, no one knows where Matt is. He still hasn't checked
in and so your guess is as good as mine as to what's going on.
Chris was a no show at the parade today. When we called, he said
that he forgot that it was the fourth and had made other
plans. Right! Caleb and Liz, and I suppose Greg and I too, are
pretty disappointed, but you just have to pick up and keep going on.
Now for the kicker. Liz and Greg are halfway to Portland where Liz's
flight is to take off tomorrow. I just got a call that her flight
has been cancelled. So much for Delta reliability. Now, she's
flying out tomorrow evening, which means that Greg can't see her
off. The pastor in Portland that they were supposed to be staying
with tonight has agreed to see her off for us, but it just isn't the
same. Now, I have no clue if Greg will try to come back home tonight
and get to work at the right time, or start back early tomorrow extra
early. Just once, I'd like things to go as planned. I know that I'm
going to laugh about all this soon. I mean, I get to sit home
tonight, by the phone, hoping that Matt will call and watch,
uninterrupted, 1776, one of my all time favorite movies, but brother,
my stomach just doesn't need this kind of work out. Praise God for
cell phones that allow us to work things out more quickly!
