O My! Vicki,
What an impressive story.
Here is what happened to me a few weeks ago.
I had completed tuning two pianos and was tired and late to my third
tuning. When I got to my third job I was really tired. This piano I had
tuned before and had had great difficulty each time. In fact, I thought
this lady was going to have someone else do it, because it didn't turn out
so well last time.
Well, as I was unpacking, this lady offered me a cup of coffee, which is
something that almost no one offers when I go to their houses.
I said that that would be wonderful. She started to fret because she didn't
have any milk in the house for the coffee. I told her not to worry, no big
deal-I was just grateful that someone had even offered me some coffee.
Anyway, as I began to work, the lady told me she had to go to the bank and
would get the coffee when she got back.
When she came back, she handed me a large cup of my favorite coffee--Tim
Hortons, which she had gone out and bought for me. She had no idea that it
was my favorite kind of coffee. I was so grateful, that I relaxed and was
able to do the best tuning on that piano that I had ever done.
Ok Vicki, you convicted me. I should have been praying for that lady,
and this happened three weeks ago.
