As others have said, they can be quite vague.
It is very hard to get the exact POST codes for any given MB sometimes.
I had a couple matching MBs that were getting flaky with the passage of time.
The POST card let me see it was random MB errors and not something
consistant. I think the South Bridge chipset (the I/O) was going.
The only time I used one "a lot" was when I checked lots of CPUs for
someone I met on EBay. When all other components were "known good"
it was a three or four second test each... (Each was properly installed with
heat grease, etc...)
