Some suggestions:

Check for secure cable connections at the monitor and the computer.

If you are OK with opening the case, check that the video card is 
securely seated and check that the video card fan is functioning. If the 
computer (including monitor) is under warranty, contact the 
retailer/manufacturer first as opening the case could void the remainder 
of the warranty.
