I second John's recommendation for the ldg tuner.  With a simple mod, (a 
little piezo buzzer across the indicator led), it works great.
Also, you might consider the elecraft t1.  This is a very small 20 watt 
tuner which runs from a 9 volt battery.  All info is flashed with an 
led.  However, since this is generated by a processor within the unit, it 
is readable on various freqs through the  rig attached to it.  It is sent 
in slow cw, (approximately 5 wpm).  I have one, and it is a nice little 
tuner.  About the size of a pack of cigarettes.
Comes as a kit, but there are builders listed on the elecraft web page.
