Oh Phil, between that thing you sent out about counselling and this, what a 
hoot!  Glad somebody else has a warped sense of humor.  Ya know, I dnd't 
even catch his address until you pointed it out. And, i've really enjoyed 
the trip down nostalgia lane.

I was introduced to ham radio by my uncle, k9myq, but he rarely operated and 
doesn't at all now.  I really thak god for the tradition of elmering new 
hams which still runs strong in the hobby today.

In reading Buddy's and Louis's intros, you never know what might spark an 
interest in somebody.

Somebody else on here, I think it might have been Barb, mentioned running a 
DX-35.  The only real memory I have of those Novice days was that the rig 
had cathode keying.  I remember many a time when I'd reach for the knob of 
the straight key and touch the connection instead.  If I was half asleep, 
nothing like 75-90 volts to wake you up.
