The lubricants in the motor on my BIC 980 direct drive completely froze
up during its long period of somnambulism. I had to hit Craigslist to
find another turntable (great deal on a Technics at $45 including a good
cartridge!) so my daughter could listen her way through my LP
collection.

That was a trip. And I like her music too....
