there is something i have noticed between the ts2000 and the ts570, and that
is that the ts2000 seems to give near to accurate readings when the preamp
is enabled...that is, the signals are amplified yes, but the signal does
seem to be reflected properly by the S meter.
Whereas, when the preamp is off, you have to have a nearly 10 over signal to
get an S7 or S8.
The ts570 seemed to give accurate readings no matter if the preamp was on or
off.
I wonder if any of the 2000 users on this list, who have used a 570 in the
past have noticed this at all.
I almost always run with the preamp turned off to help reduce the noise
floor...so now i am just guessing signal strength and giving it to stations.
