I don't have any use for Programmable memories.

Actually the pm memory is very useful. For example, I like a very soft =
beep
at night, but a louder beep at other times. Sometimes I like to have
Automatic Intercept Point turned on and other times I want it off. I =
have
one pm with a high beep another with a low beep and so on. =20

One thing I didn't understand about the pm memory. The instructions say =
to
have mike control turned off when programming the pm memory. I'm not =
sure
about this as I don't like using mike control (I have the mike pf key =
set to
"Enter"), but if you use mike control you need to remember this when =
using
the pm feature.

    John:

Well, I thought I had the rig in a simple-enough mode as it was, but I =
guess
not. HI! HI!

I think my next step is to try to see if someone put a "program memory"
setting in there. I know the rig has a "program memory" function, but =
never
used it, because it's just something else that I can't necessarily =
control.

Once I get this problem resolved, then I just have to turn the mic DTMF
functions back on, which is easy.

Hopefully, others with TMV7A's might have suggestions.

Thanks to you, John, and all on the list.

Will get it solved one way or the other.
