Hi,

I've been very happy with the Vonage system and adapter which is a Linksys 2
port router and telephone switch. Vonage recommends that you hook up their
adapter between your own router and your cable or DSL modem. As a second
option, you can hook up their adapter to an opened port on your router, but
I have not had good luck with this option which has caused my DLink router
to reboot unpredictably. And the DLink router, in this configuration,
always reboots when I need it the most when traffic is heavy.

One thing that I noticed, after seeing the previous posts is that the
Viatalk basic free adapter has to be hooked to an existing router which I
have already learned doesn't work in my network setup. One more thing that
I've discovered about Viatalk is that the telephone support number given
under their contact link is not working as you get a recording that states
that telephone support is not yet available.

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.
