actually, those doors had a habit of falling off a lot of them, that's why
they mention it but anyway I know a lot of people that still use them,
they're work horses.

Hi Danny;
No voice I'm afraid but you can get a key pad for direct frequency entry.  I
used the thing reasonably well a number of years ago.  There are a number
used I'm sure out and about.  There is a little door on the front which
covers slide controls for the vox and mike gain.  I mention that only
because I have seen them used and some folks go out of their way to make
sure you know that the door is still in one piece.
When I used mine, there were radios with speech but it wasn't as common.
