Hi Tom;
The ts2000 which is just the radio is apparently 1,599.00  They have a 
ts2000le which adds 1.2 gigs the vs3 and a certificate for (hand on tight) 
your own kenwood jacket. The le version I believe is 1,999.00

As I said, when I equipped our County EOC with the IC706 Mark II.G, I was
working with a fairly tight budget, and felt that the 706 Mark II.G would do
what we needed for a bit less money than the TS2000.

Again, if you can quote a rough going price for the TS2000, that might be
helpful information.
