Pack away the ornaments,
Pack away the tree,

For everyone to see,
Pack away the tinsel,

Put away the strings of lights just where they should go,
But keep the joy of Christmas,
Keep the love,
Keep the meaning of emanuel, God with us,
Pack away,
The cards that friends sent,
Pack away the lists you wrote,
And  all the tings you meant,
To get time for,
But keep  the good will,
This world is a loveless place,
Pack away,
The Christmas dishes,
The special recipes,
Pack away  the pictures,
And treasured memories,
But remember the greatest gift,
When God became love,
And give some away to others
You meet each day.
Pack all the Christmas things away,
But leave out the gratitude that comes
From having been given the most wonderful gift of all,
