Lactose intolerance is common in Asia. Milk *allergy* is probably less
common than it is here since they consume less milk than many other
cultures, but I don't have numbers/studies on that at the moment.

It may also be possible that Asians make it more of a point to stay away from dairy seeing the reactions many of them have from using the products, kind of like not jumping out in front of a car a second time once you discover it's painful.(humor)
