We were there about three hours and about 90 minutes of that was the
surgical time. Plus, he was in the recovery room for awhile, of course, so
just think, 30 years ago, he would have been in the hospital for nearly a
week. The last eye surgery I had on my retinas, I was in the hospital bed
for a month and all of that was on my back. Everett is fine and can begin
walking as he wishes. His foot is numb right now, however, and will be for
several hours. He's also a little high on the pain medication they gave
him. He has some work to do for his shop Wednesday so he wants to be
walking by then, if you can believe it, but that's what we are praying for.
Phil.
