Actually, the school for the blind in Nebraska, where I went for about three
and a half years, really went all out on Christmas. Man, one December I
remember going caroling around the town of 8,000 people, where the school
for the blind was, and it was so freezing cold, I was beginning to wonder if
we would make it or not. Then, after getting back to school, they filled us
up with the best tasting hot chocolate I ever remember drinking. I have to
give the school credit because they always made it really feel like
Christmas before our Christmas two week break. I miss the caroling, too. I
have been listening to a lot of radio this week, and especially yesterday
and today, and I am amazed at the intricate musical arrangements I am
hearing with all the Christmas music. I heard one today and I think it is
my most favorite Christmas song. I rarely hear it and I don't know the name
of it either. The choir was good but the man singing the solo part made me
very envious. I finally realized, even if I can't sing now, I bet everyone
has a voice beyond our dreams in Heaven. I plan to do a lot more singing
then, too. Talk about a choir. think of it. Millions of the Redeemed all
singing. Add the angels in on that and we be talking having church like
never before.
Phil.
