David Gillett's post (clipped):---
<<<< now that a new interface (SATA
or "Serial ATA") is appearing, some manufacturers are calling it "Parallel
ATA".>>>>
If this is correct then I am sorry I made a mistake in my post with subject([PCBUILD] HELP!!!) on 27/08/05 at 8:52:32 PM (Clipped):---
<<< However the "CHAINTECH" link
(http://www.chaintechusa.com/tw/eng/product_spec.asp?MPSNo=13&PISNo=306 )
given by Hugh Vandervoort and your post also says the mobo is "SATA/ RAID"
capable wheras the new egg. specs says "PATA" and I find this confusing since
they are two different configurations. So I feel you should recheck the specs
again >>>
on a side not does this mean " serial" and "parallel" interfaces are the same?and does it apply to "ports" also?.
It IS getting very confusing with so many "descriptions " for the same thing.
will appreciate all input
wishing all a good day---Venkat Viswanathan
