If I understand you correctly, you are looking for a external HD enclosure that will connect to your USB port.
If that is correct, I have been using such an enclosure for some time and it works perfectly..
It is a Z Disk. I got it at a computer fair, for about $20.00.
You could probably find one through Google.

machine now to get those files off the HD's. This machine has sata setup =
with no IDE. I was lead to believe that the external enclosure had the =

interface which would be transferred over usb 2.0 so that I could read =

files and transfer them to my new HD.
Any help on this would be great.
