The reason for all those names of towns in Iowa is that every section of 8 
square miles, more or less, would have a centralized storage grainery and 
perhaps other buildings and/or businesses and, of course, it had to have a
name. VOILA! More townships than almost anywhere on earth.  There are a 
lot of them I haven't heard of either.
