Hello Phil,
Deceit is what satan does best.  He is a master manipulator as well.  If 
only Gretchen could understand that no matter what she has done our Lord 
stands ready to forgive her and we humans who love her stand ready to give 
her all the love and support we can.  Prayer is more powerful than deceit 
and we will all keep praying.
