From February, 1970, to July, 1971, my X wife and I lived in a
rather run down section of Columbus, Ohio. After living there for
a few months, I started finding the refrigerator unplugged every
morning. After two or three days, I noticed that the cord looked
like it had been gnawed. About a week later, I moved the
refrigerator out to vacuum behind it. My bare feet discovered
little hard things on the floor, and they made quite a racket as
they went up the sweeper.
Another week passed, and I found the refrigerator cord
completely gnawed in half. Our pastor repaired the cord for us.
By then, more of the little hard things had accumulated; and he
confirmed that they were rat droppings. We placed rat poison in
the basement where our dog couldn't get into it. Please tune in
the next time for more about our friendly rodent.
