Phil,
I'm sorry that I didn't see this until today.  I sure will be praying
for Skip.  I hope that he is better now.  I understand what you mean
about animal comfort.  Last spring, when Chris was in jail, I laid on
the floor one day and just sobbed.  Our cat Darius, who is usually
full of himself, and every bit the king for whom he was named,
extended beyond himself and stayed by me, rubbing my face and hands,
trying to assure me that everything would be all right.  Animals are
just so amazing and wonderful, a gift from God when humans don't know
what to do.
