Hi Mark.

If the radio has that six pin Molex style connector that Kenwood uses on 
all of its current rigs for an external auto tuner, then it should 
work.  The only thing you need to find out is if your rig has one of those 
connectors and if it supplies operating voltage for the tuner.  If not, 
then you'll also have to buy an external supply for the tuner, and will 
probably have to make a jumper change in the interface.  I know that it 
works with the TS450S, TS690S, TS850S, etfc.  I don't remember if the 
TS440S used that same connector or not.  Maybe some of the TS440S users can 
tell you, but I only had mine for a week before I sold it to someone that I 
thought needed it worse than I did.
