I wonder somethimes whether politicians understand anything about those who
volunteer their time and talents to help society!  If hams were to receive
the glory what would that say for the paid government agencies buzzing
round, firing off emails and parading before the cameras?  The challenjge
is to find a viable role for hams among the numerous governemtal agencies
vying for recognition and bigger pay checks.
