I just took a look at the article on the 7000 on the Icom page.  There is a
speech synthesizer.  The next questions to ask regarding true accessibility
is, 1. how much does it speak?  2. are the menus spoken?  3. Does the radio
use layered menus?  4. Can the radio be easily put back to a known set of
default settings?  I'm sure that all the answers to the above questions and
more will come out after a few of the rigs hit the airwaves.
