Well, the 707 is a great radio if you are content to only listen on one
band at a time, and it does not do cross band repeat.  I'm told it is one
of the most accessible.  I have the tmv-7 and like it, although there are
things on it that don't speak well.  I wanted dual receive though and
availability of cross band repeat.  this has been replaced by the 708 I
think and from what I've been told, the 708 doesn't have a way to program
it with computers which is a giant step backward in my opinion.  It does
have a bit more receive, but I'm glad I got the tmb-7 as it is computer
programmable.
