I also have doubts, but use it because I can't get enough of the right fat.
My internet search turned up nothing wrong with it, but the doubt remains.

EV organic coconut oil smells unpleasant to me, and horrible when I cook 
with it, so use the non-virgin (experienced?) stuff.
