Hi,
Does anybody have an online source for reasonably priced, wild caught
"exotic" meats such as elk, caribou, emu, ostrich, venison, etc.?
I have food intolerances and need to rotate my foods. Currently I am on a
4-day rotation. I have cleared some intolerances (tomatoes, avocadoes) but
have also developed new ones (chicken and buffalo). I am trying to avoid
fish because I have mercury toxicity.
One of our local health food stores was selling elk and venison burgers and
all 5 of our health food stores had ostrich. Now none of them have ostrich
anymore and I haven't found elk or venison either. At least not as burgers -
the ostrich and venison steaks run around $14 - $19 per pound and I simply
cannot afford that.
So currently I am down to beef, lamb, turkey, pork/wild boar.
Thanks,
Kristina
